It's important to note that a Bakers Cyst is a symptom of another underlying injury in your knee.
In trying to heal and protect the underlying injury your body produces a protective liquid in your knee called 'synovial fluid'
The fluid can get squeezed out of your knee joint during activity and accumulate in a sac called a bursa at the back of your knee.
This sac gets bigger and bigger and becomes your Baker's Cyst.
The best treatments not only reduce the pain and swelling behind your knee, but also treat the underlying injury so the problem goes away for good.
Treating the painful lump alone does not solve the problem.
You have to treat the damaged tissue too.
Dealing with Pain and that Lump
There's no doubt about it.
That lump in the back of your knee is causing a ton of pain and has to go.
The fluid in it though is good stuff.
You want that fluid in your knee to help your injury heal.
The fluid in your swollen bursa is synovial fluid which your body produces to lubricate and protect your knee joint.
Your knee is producing extra now because it's injured and your problem is it's accumulating in the bursa rather than staying in your knee joint where it's needed most.
You don't want to drain it - that's your own natural medicine for your knee in there!
You want to gently squeeze the bursa so the fluid moves from the sac into your knee joint.
That's where it's supposed to go.
The absolute best way to send that good synovial fluid to the right spot is with gentle but firm, cold compression.
Cold compression is a one - two punch for your Bakers Cyst.
Compression gently squeezes the bursa so the synovial fluid moves into the knee joint where it's desperately needed.
For a big swollen bursa, you want to do this for 15 to 30 minutes at a time.
It's not going to move all at once.
There aren't pipes that take it to all the parts of your knee.
It migrates slowly through the interstitial tissue in your knee, over time and with motion.
Use gentle pressure for a while then go about your day for a bit then repeat the process.
Soft gentle pressure a few times per day will move that valuable fluid into your knee where it will help to heal the damaged tissue your body intended it to help.
The cold part of the treatment reduces other swelling in your knee from the underlying injury making space for the synovial fluid and reducing the pressure there so it can flow more easily.
As well, cold does an excellent job of relieving pain in your knee so you get the instant pain relief you are looking for too.
There's nothing better for this part of the problem than a cold Compression Wrap like King Brand's ColdCure Leg Wrap.
The ColdCure wrap has just the right pressure to send the Synovial fluid back into your knee where it belongs and it has a ton of cold power to suck away all the pain and swelling of even the worst injury.
How to Heal the Underlying Cause of Your Baker's Cyst
The reason for the Bakers Cyst is definitely because there is damaged tissue in your knee.
In most cases it is a meniscus injury although it is possible it could be some other tendon or ligament that your body is trying to mend.
You may or may not know the underlying issue.
Regardless, the most effective treatment for all these types of injuries is rest.
Your body needs some time to heal.
Stopping everything isn't possible, but lighten up as much as you can to let the underlying condition improve.
You can accelerate the healing process by stimulating blood flow.
This is what is happening when Physiotherapists treat you with Ultrasound.
Ultrasound is a diathermic medical device that stimulates blood flow in deep tissue to promote circulation which in turn promotes healing.
The issue is that the benefit of diathermy treatments last for around 4 hours so one treatment every two or three days is kind of like taking a Tylenol once every few days to treat a migraine.
Once in a while won't solve the problem.
You need regular treatments.
And Ultrasound needs a technician to treat you - you can't get one yourself to do it at home.
There is a diathermic product you can get to use at home though.
King Brand 'BFST' stands for 'Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy'.
BFST devices are diathermic medical devices that promote blood flow that you can buy yourself and use at home or wherever you are.
This way you can give yourself diathermic treatments several times each day, maximizing the benefits of this type of medical treatment, and helping you heal as fast as you can.
Even though your Baker's Cyst is on the back of your knee, the cause - the underlying injury - is probably more within your knee.
To treat a Baker's Cyst you want the Cold Compression on the back of the knee, but you want the blood flow stimulation to envelop the rest of the knee.
Each BFST treatment targets the area of concern.
With a Bakers cyst it's in a different spot than the actual lump.
To treat your meniscus, or osteoarthritis or ligament damage, you need to use a Knee BFST wrap to promote healing of the underlying injury.
With a bit of rest, regular Cold Compression to reduce the swelling and pain, and regular Knee BFST healing treatments, you have the best tools available for finally getting rid of your Bakers Cyst.
Finally and completely.
Preventing Re-injury When you Can't Rest
Do you know what is the underlying injury in your knee?
If you don't, it's highly recommended you try to obtain an X-ray or MRI to get a proper diagnosis.
Afterall, the more you know, the better you can take care of the injury.
If you do know, when you are active, you should tape the injured area to reduce the amount of reinjury you get from your activity.
You see most professional athletes taped up because they inevitably get injured, and they can't stop doing their thing, so they tape when they are active to try to keep the damage to a minimum.
Generally speaking, tight bands around your joints are a bad idea.
They squeeze the area more than they give it support and that squeezing during activity can cause extra rubbing and strain on your ligaments and tendons, possibly leading to more injuries over time.
Athletes tape because tape gives support from the skin side without squeezing the joint and putting you at further risk.
So keep your activity to a minimum while you're on the mend, and tape when you have to be active.
In time you will be able to increase your activity level, gradually, as you put your issues behind you for good.
The Ultimate Solution:
If you really want to get better, here's exactly what you need to do.
Use the BFST® Knee Wrap first thing every morning.
Do 2 or 3 more BFST® treatments throughout the day.
This will help heal your knee injury or condition quickly.
Wear a ColdCure® Leg Wrap on the back of your knee as much as possible.
It will relieve your pain, and push the synovial fluid back into your joint effectively.
Avoid re-straining your knee as much as possible.
KB Support Tape can help with this.
By taping your knee, it provides the strength and support, without reducing your circulation.
With these simple treatments your Baker's Cyst can finally heal.

We know you will love them though because hundreds of thousands of people already use them and rave about the results.
The King Brand® products shown are FDA Registered medical devices.
That is not all.
They have also been registered with Health Canada which means they received twice as much review.
FDA and Health Canada Registration does not mean that we filled out a form to become Registered.
Our medical claims are significant, and because of these claims the various agencies have looked deep into our technology.
We have submitted to FDA our proprietary research and technology to back up the claims that we make.
King Brand has participated in far more than a basic registration process.
All the agencies have come to our facilities for week-long inspections to ensure that the end user is always receiving the safest, most effective medical devices we can offer.
With two different countries of regulators this means our products have twice the oversight, ensuring exceptional quality and performance.
It is not required by the government agencies, but we are also ISO-13485 compliant and registered.
This enforces medical standards that are established by the International Standards Organization for global manufacturers of medical devices.
This means more on-site, week long, audits every year, ensuring our quality and products meet strict international standards.
Beyond what is required by any regulator, we use only the safest materials in our products.
ISO-10993 regulation ensures that our products are made from higher quality materials than most baby products, including diapers.
This is the highest bio-compatibility safety standard in the world.
This is the highest hospital grade - think Intensive Care and Operating Rooms.
Our materials go through ISO-10993 testing to ensure they are safe for you.
No consumer products are produced to this high standard.
King Brand products are, in fact, hospital grade through and through.
IEC-60601 is the International Standard for Medical Device safety from an electrical standpoint.
In spite of the BFST® being an electrical device, BFST® can be used in hospital emergency rooms and operating rooms without affecting other equipment.
You can use any medical device with a BFST® and neither device will know the other one is there.
This is a very tough standard to meet, but we do it and you benefit.
King Brand products meet over 20 different safety and quality standards that are not required even for medical devices and FDA registration.
If we think there is anything that can be done to make our products safer and more effective, we have done it.
That is the approach to everything we do and that is why our company and products are so highly regarded.

Why the Leg Wrap Cold and the Knee BFST?
The Knee wrap products are designed to target the front top and bottom, and the sides of your knee.
That's what's going to target the underlying injury that is causing the Baker's Cyst.
But to position the cold and pressure most effectively on the bursa itself, the Leg wrap does a better job.
This is simply the best combination of products for treating a Baker's Cyst.
In addition, the Leg Wrap is extremely versatile and provides a bonus in that you can use it for treating multiple areas of your body.
Too busy to be injured? Have to keep going?
Then KB Support Tape is your "must have".
Constant re-injury is often the biggest reason your Baker's Cyst doesn't heal.
It heals when at rest but when you get back on your feet the injury gets worse.
Athletes are always taped up.
That's to prevent against re-injury while they are active.
And KB Support Tape™ is the best for that purpose.
Taping is very under-appreciated and very effective.
If you have to keep moving, you have to tape.
The color is purely your sense of style.
The Pre-Cut Strips are super convenient, but the Continuous Roll gives you more control over how you tape your knee and you get the most use out of a single roll.
If you want above average support, look in our shop for the wide tape.
At 3" wide instead of 2", you get more than twice the support when you form the 'X' over your injured area.
This Rechargeable Battery Pack is designed to make your BFST® Wrap completely mobile.
It attaches anywhere on your wrap and lasts for a minimum of 4-10 treatments, depending on what level you're on.
This means you can do your treatments wherever you go! You can do treatments in the car, at work, or while you're doing chores around the house, all without being plugged in.
Use it wherever the day takes you.
The Battery Pack is easily charged using your BFST® power supply. The indicator lights on the Battery let you know when it needs to be charged again. It takes approximately 4 hours to achieve a full charge when the Battery is at 0%.
The Battery Pack makes it so much simpler to get in your 3-4 BFST® treatments per day, because you don't have to wait around while you're plugged into an outlet anymore.
*The Rechargeable Battery Pack is specifically designed to work with your BFST® Knee Wrap. Your BFST® Wrap comes with the components you need for treatments and to charge the Battery.

Recovery and Physiotherapy
Physiotherapists and doctors recommend stretching and strengthening exercises because it helps to promote blood flow through your injured knee.
Often, we reduce our activity when we are injured and that leads to weakening muscles called Atrophy.
Physiotherapy is also intended to help strengthen the surrounding muscles to rebuild that lost muscle.
But, it can be harmful if stretching and exercises are started too early.
Your injury first needs to stabilize, and in order to stabilize the injury you need to rest.
If you still have significant injury, any physio you do should start off very light.
Our advice is don't start Physical Therapy until your condition has stabilized.
When you start, if you feel pain during or after PT, speak up!
Your clinician can't feel what you feel, so it is very important to advocate for yourself during physio.
Let them know how it feels at each stage so they can use that as a guide to treat you properly.
PT is not supposed to hurt and if it does you may be re-injuring your knee.
When you rest, your blood flow slows down which doesn't help your injury heal.
This is why BFST® is so important to start early on in your recovery.
The BFST® will increase blood flow - when you can't exercise and stretch - to promote the healing process.
That stimulation also helps prevent reinjury when you become more active.
Start BFST early. The earlier the better!
Use the BFST® to warm up your knee before PT and before any other heavy activity.
This will help prevent further injury as a result of the PT activity.
At the beginning of your injury, even before the injury has had a chance to stabilize and long before you start physio, the ColdCure® Wraps will help keep the pain and swelling under control.
The gentle, firm pressure during treatments will also help to move the valuable synovial fluid back into your injured knee.
It is the activity and motion that actually squeezes the synovial fluid out of the knee into the bursa, so after PT you want to counter that effect and squeeze the fluid back where it belongs - in the knee.
Always use your ColdCure® wrap after any heavy activity and after PT.
The KB Support Tape™ should be applied every morning and worn all day long to help prevent re-injury, including to PT.
For many people, King Brand® products, used in the comfort of your own home, are all that is required without having to attend and pay for Physical Therapy appointments.
Because you don't have to move to use them, the King Brand BFST® and ColdCure® Wraps can be started any time.
You have an excellent product!
Ten years ago, I had a Baker's cyst as well as a tear in my meniscus, and my orthopedic doctor recommended King Brand.
I used it three times a day.
It's such a good device.
I recommended it to a friend of mine.
She has a little tear in her meniscus.
When she was here the other day, we put the BFST on her and she felt so much better when she was done.
My friend was so impressed.
I'm sure she's going to order it too.
I highly recommend your product.

BFST® Devices are Electrical Medical Appliances that actively stimulate blood flow in injured tissue.
BFST® devices heal soft tissue injuries.
Starting your BFST® treatments is the second step to healing from your Baker's Cyst.
A Baker's Cyst is most often caused by an injury inside your knee such as a meniscus injury, or even arthritis.
By healing your knee, your Baker's Cyst will go away as a result, with a decreased chance of it coming back.
BFST® treatments are very pleasant and relaxing.
People often notice a slight tingling sensation and warmth deep within the treatment area as the BFST® starts the blood flowing at an increased rate.
For optimal results, you should try to do three to four BFST® treatments per day.
An ideal treatment regimen would be doing one treatment first thing in the morning, one in the afternoon, one in the evening, and the last treatment right before bed.
This will ensure that you have a great start to your day, and lots of healing throughout the night when you rest.
Blood flow is the most critical element in rapid recovery, which is why BFST® treatments are so important.
Your BFST® treatments should always be pleasant and relaxing.
Almost as important as blood flow is the reminder of your injury. Having a reminder of your injury throughout the recovery process helps you move with care so as not to re-injure the area. Without a reminder, we often feel a false sense of ability that can lead to further damage. Avoiding re-injury is fundamental to rapid recovery. Between treatments, apply KB Support Tape™ to help provide support and protection for your injured knee. This will lower the risk of re-injury and greatly contribute to a faster healing time.
What Does the BFST Feel Like?
The BFST treatments are very comfortable and soothing.
The BFST® uses Electromagnetic Energy to stimulate blood flowunderneath the surface of the skin.
It is warm, but not hot.
It does not vibrate like a massager. (You shouldn't use a massager on soft tissue injuries)
It does not cause your muscles to tense in jolts like with a TENS machine. (TENS machines are very bad for soft tissue injuries)
The BFST® isn't supposed to do either of those things.
Rather, it is soothing and sometimes gives you a gentle tingling sensation in the treatment area.
BFST treatments are very pleasant and enjoyable.
Don't be confused, while the treatments feel gentle, they are still very powerful.
Think about an X-RAY or an MRI.
Even though you don't feel the energy during those procedures, a lot of energy is definitely going deep into your body.
If you put your ear close to the BFST when it is on, you can actually hear it going through the cycles.
It's not loud, but you can hear it if you listen.
It isn't just delivering one energy level at one frequency.
Just like an MRI machine, the BFST buzzes and hums and gets louder and more quiet as it goes through the treatment cycle.
It sounds just like a mini-MRI machine.
Over the 20 minute treatment period it goes through a treatment cycle to deliver the most energy in the most effective way.
It is designed to help give you the fastest healing time possible, in the comfort of your home.
During each BFST® treatment you will only feel a mild warming sensation.
If it feels hot you are using it on too high of a setting.
Over time, after several treatment sessions, the treatments will feel like they are getting less and less warm.
This is your body responding to the BFST® treatments by increasing your subdermal blood flow.
The more BFST treatments you do, the less warmth you're going to feel.
This is a good sign.
Your tissue is becoming healthier.
Your body is getting stronger.
This means that your circulation through your injury is improving, and your injury is improving.
When the feeling of warmth during a treatment is almost all gone, this is the signal that it is time to move up to the next level.
People usually move up to the second level after a few weeks of treatment.

Dealing With Pain - Consult with us for Free!
A Baker's Cyst can be so painful and debilitating that it causes us to rely heavily on pain killers. But honestly, pain killers are not your friend. It is understandable that you are looking for the relief from pain. Remember, though, the pain is there to stop us from hurting the area further. The pain is your body saying please stop doing that! While pain killers are a welcome relief, they can be dangerous to take when you're active. Pain killers can completely block the pain signal, making you unaware of any further damage you could be doing to your knee. Pain killers should be restricted to times of rest.
When it comes to pain killers, some products are much more effective than others. Some can actually help your injury when used correctly and others will only make it worse. According to the National Institute of Health, our own government body tells us that Acetaminophen overdose is the leading cause for calls to Poison Control Centers (>100,000/year) and accounts for more than 56,000 emergency room visits. And acetaminophen (Tylenol) won't help you get better one bit. It only puts you at risk of more injury. If you want help choosing the right pain killer and want advice on how to use it more safely and correctly, give us a call at 1-844-672-9440. We will give you excellent guidance. No charge. No purchase necessary.
To maximize healing and minimize pain and swelling, complete a BFST® treatment right before bed. We can give you advice on medication you can take to reduce the pain and help you heal while you sleep. The BFST® treatment will work towards healing while you sleep, and the medication will work to relieve the pain and inflammation so that you can experience restful sleep. During the day, ColdCure® treatments are the best choice to continue to reduce inflammation while you are active. Our medical grade injury tape, KB Support Tape, is excellent for reducing re-injury and pain when you need to be active as well. If you're in pain, give us a call now for free advice 1-844-672-9440.
I just started using all of this yesterday, and I don't want to jump to conclusions, but it feels different already!
I'm really excited about this because I hurt my knee almost 2 months ago, and sometimes when I'd roll over at night, the pain was incredible.

ColdCure® Devices Reduce Pain and Swelling.
ColdCure® Devices are NOT typical cold or ice packs.
The very first step in recovery is to start with the ColdCure® Leg Wrap. Use the Leg ColdCure® Wrap as much as possible to reduce the swelling and inflammation quickly. The ColdCure® Leg uses a compression wrap and gel packs to eliminate pain and swelling quickly and effectively. The pain that you're feeling is because you're experiencing the added pressure behind the knee caused from swelling and inflammation. This will most often cause pain and the inability to bend your knee without feeling pressure or pain. Reducing your swelling and inflammation behind your knee is the first step towards getting rid of your Baker's Cyst for good.
ColdCure® Wraps were designed as a safe alternative to ordinary ice packs. While ordinary ice packs can freeze your skin and cause cold burns, when our gel packs are stored in the freezer, they pose no threat of freezing the skin. This means longer treatment times and less time spent swapping the gel packs in and out. It also means faster relief of pain and swelling. When you apply the ColdCure® Wrap to the back of your knee, you will feel an immediate cooling sensation that will make the pain fade away. It will also do an incredible job of bringing down the uncomfortable swelling of your Baker's Cyst.
The ColdCure® Leg Wrap and gel packs are the perfect size and shape for the back of your knee because the treatment area is 7 inches tall by 9 inches wide.
The entire length of the wrap is 26 inches.
Baker's Cysts can be difficult to target because of their location, but the ColdCure® Leg Wrap covers the entire affected area.
This ensures that there is an even distribution of cooling power over your Baker's Cyst.
It also ensures that there is adequate pressure on your bursa to push the synovial fluid back into your knee.
There are 3 swappable gel packs included with the ColdCure® Leg Wrap.
They're soft and flexible, yet the gel inside always stays in place.
The gel won't move away from your Baker's Cyst, even under heavy pressure for hours on end.
Keep 2 gel packs charging in the freezer while you use 1 in your wrap.
This will keep your therapy going for as long as you need.
KB Support Tape - Use All Day During Work & Play
KB Support Tapeprovides lightweight, comfortable compression to relieve your swelling throughout the day.
It also helps to prevent re-injury by giving your healing tissue targeted support and protection, without restricting your range of motion.
KB Support Tape comes in 2 different styles: Pre-Cut Strips and a Continuous Roll.
These styles also come in 3 different colors: Blue, Black & Beige.
There's no functional difference between the colors, they just allow you to express your personal style.
The Pre-Cut Strips of KB Support Tape are fast, easy, and convenient.
Since they're already cut into ready-to-use strips, you can just apply and go!
Every roll of Pre-Cut KB Support Tape contains 20 individual strips.
Each Pre-Cut Strip is 2 inches wide and 10 inches long.
The Continuous Rolls of KB Support Tape are perfect if you're looking for a more customizable tape.
You can cut the Tape into a variety of different shapes and sizes to achieve a completely unique application for your injury.
Each box contains 1 Continuous Roll of KB Support Tape that is 2 inches wide and 16 feet long.
Taping for a Baker's Cyst can vary widely.
Don't look on the internet for how to tape and follow that direction blindly.
There are so many ways shown, because no two injuries are the same.
It depends on where your underlying injury is.
If you have pain in that area too, tape where you are feeling the most pain.
The KB Support Tape® should be applied in a T or X formation.
Where the two pieces of tape intersect is centered over the injury.
Usually, you put one strip in the direction of your leg and one strip across it.
Having the tape overlap overtop of the injured area, where you feel the most pain, will help provide you with the most support.
When you are applying your tape, the ends of the tape should be applied with 0% stretch.
This is called your anchor.
The anchor allows you to the security to know that your tape will stay in place for as long as you need it.
When applying your tape, you should apply roughly 50% stretch.
This will help provide the gentle support that you need.
Taping is a bit of a learning process.
The first couple tries might be frustrating but you will get much better at it over time.
As you go through your recovery, you will continue to modify your taping method to ensure that you are always covering your points of pain.
Thank you! I appreciate the fast service.
This is my third King Brand device.
I used to hurt a lot when I play tennis.
The first two, a wrist and arm, have worked so well for that issue.
Now I have a knee that hurts when I ski, so have already started using a knee BFST.
Thank you.

Combination Therapy BFST® + ColdCure® + KB Tape
BFST® for Rapid Healing ColdCure® for Pain & Swelling KB Tape to Prevent Re-Injury
Combination Therapy means combining ColdCure® and BFST® by alternating treatments, as well as using KB Support Tape between treatments. Combination Therapy is much more effective than using just one product or the other. This is because you're getting the pain and swelling relief of ColdCure®, the healing benefits of BFST®, as well as the protection and re-injury prevention of KB Support Tape. This results in the absolute best treatment for your Baker's Cyst and underlying knee condition or injury.
Step 1: Reduce Swelling and Inflammation
A very important part of treating your Baker's Cyst is to use the ColdCure® Leg Wrap to help reduce not only the visible swelling you may see on the surface, but also the inflammation you may have and cannot see, deep down in the soft tissue.
You can use it several times a day.
Use it anytime you want pain relief and after any significant exercise of your knee even if it doesn't hurt afterward.
You should rely more heavily on ColdCure® treatments immediately after exercise because the inflammation will continue to re-develop when you are active.
Also, exercise tends to push the synovial fluid back out of the knee and into the bursa.
Being aggressive with back to back cold treatments after exercise will give your body a chance to get ahead of the inflammation, and prepare your knee for the blood flow that's needed to help heal quickly.
Step 2: Heal Your Injury
Introduce your BFST® treatments at your less active times of day and before significant exercise.
Keep your swelling and inflammation under control with ColdCure® but do not use ColdCure® and BFST® close together.
Use BFST® in the morning, before bed, and after longer periods of resting your injury.
Using BFST before heavy activity is valuable in preparing your knee for the upcoming stress and reducing the possibility of reinjury as a result.
When doing your treatments, you should only feel a slight warming sensation.
At any time if it feels HOT or uncomfortable, move to a lower power level.
If you're only at level 1 and it starts to feel hot, you can shorten your treatment period.
Over time, with repeated BFST treatments, your blood flow will improve and the warmth during each treatment will feel gradually less.
Each BFST® Treatment will last only 20 minutes, but the increase in blood flow will last up to four hours.
Ideally your treatments should be spaced out throughout the day, so you can promote good blood flow all day long.
If you can't do 3-4 treatments a day, your two most important treatments are first thing in the morning, and right before you go to bed.
This will ensure that you have a great start to your day and you can rest well at night.
If you are planning on being active throughout the day, complete a BFST® treatment before any type of physical activity.
It can be as simple as going for a walk.
Always assess how you are feeling after your activity, as there's a chance you may need to apply your ColdCure® to treat any new inflammation generated during your activities.
The goal with your BFST® Treatments is not to increase on the levels as quickly as possible, but to condition your circulatory system to allow for the much needed increased blood flow.
Staying on the lowest level to where you feel any warmth - remember it's just a slight warmth - will be the most effective way to start healing your Baker's Cyst.
Treatments that are too hot will not be as effective as treatments that are just warm.
When can you move up to the next level?
You can move up in levels when you feel barely any warmth from the treatment at all.
This means that you've successfully conditioned your circulation and you're ready to move up.
Some people can move up in a few weeks, some people it takes a lot longer.
It just depends on how well your body adjusts to the increase in blood flow.
Step 3: Treat Flare-Ups - Timing is Important
Do a ColdCure® treatment any time you experience a pain flare-up or after any physical activity to prevent further injury and reduce swelling and inflammation.
As long as you have a noticeable bulge or pain in the back of your knee, then there's a swollen bursa in there with synovial fluid that you want to send back into your knee.
Usually, you don't do ColdCure shortly after BFST.
Wait 30-45 minutes after your ColdCure® treatment before doing another BFST® treatment.
This time will allow the blood flow and body temperature to regulate again.
Refrain from using ColdCure® within the 4 hours following your 20 minute BFST® treatment.
ColdCure® treatments will slow down the blood flow, which isn't ideal, but sometimes necessary to relieve the swelling and inflammation generated.
The BFST® will increase your blood flow which is important for faster healing.
Step 4: Use KB Support Tape™
KB Support Tape™ is very important to help with your injury recovery.
As you move throughout the day, your skin and your tendons move with you.
Using the KB Support Tape™over your injury will make your skin less flexible - therefore protecting your injury - without restricting your range of motion.
KB Support Tape™ can be used at the same time as your BFST® and ColdCure® treatments without any issues, but try to have your first BFST® treatment of the day without the KB Support Tape™ applied.
After your BFST® treatment has been completed, then apply the tape.
Removing the tape before the last BFST® treatment of the day will provide the best results.
Step 5: Complete the Healing Process
Even once the pain is gone, the underlying injury causing your Baker's Cyst may only be 20% or 30% healed.
The healing process takes much longer than most people realize.
(You can click here for the full story.)
If you want your Baker's Cyst to heal completely, you need to continue doing BFST® treatments for several months after the pain is gone.
Do a BFST® treatment before you do any physical activity.
This will act as a warm up for your circulatory system.
You should also continue taping your Knee to help prevent re-injury.
I really appreciate your support and your help, and you are helping me.
This is all new to me, I've never even heard of a Baker's Cyst, and then I look it up online and it sounds like it's more common than what you think.
You guys are great.
You certainly are knowledgeable about what's going on and it's helping me.

Medical Function - BFST® Wrap - Accelerated Healing
BFST® Wraps are FDA Registered Class II medical devices.
They're made with medical grade materials and comply with several different standards and regulations.
This includes ensuring safe, effective treatments.
BFST® Wraps are not the same as the consumer grade products found at the store or sold online.
Medical devices are held to much higher standards.
Even though they're better quality than consumer goods, BFST® devices are still available to the public to buy and use at home.
The Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy® Wrap is designed to promote blood flow in injured tissue below the dermal (fat and skin) layer.
Utilizing our proprietary Energy Web®, specially controlled and incredibly safe, low levels of EMR energy envelop your entire knee and stimulate blood flow in the soft tissue deep beneath the skin.
The resulting stimulation brings oxygen and nutrient-rich blood to the injured area, accelerating the healing process.
BFST® Wraps have 3 different power settings, which you will move through gradually as your knee heals.
Everyone should start their treatments on Level 1.
Proceeding immediately to Level 2 or 3 will not speed up your healing time. You need to condition the body first.
During your first few treatments on Level 1, your knee area may feel quite warm.
This is because your circulation is poor at first.
The more you use the device, the less warming sensation you will feel.
This is good. As the warmth lessens from treatment to treatment, this is an indication that the circulation in your knee is improving.
Better circulation means better blood flow all the time, not just during treatments.
This is the goal.
When you feel very little warmth during a treatment, it is time to move up to the next power level.
Don't rush it though, more heat does not mean better treatment.
In fact, less heat means better treatment, so take your time moving up in levels.
BFST® Wraps are the heating pads of the future.
Instead of bringing blood flow to the surface of your skin and making it hot to the touch like a heating pad does, BFST® promotes blood flow in the soft tissue deep beneath your skin.
Bringing blood to the surface does nothing to heal the injury deep below.
By stimulating additional blood flow in the area of injury, this works to help the tissue heal.
Heating pads can't do this, but BFST® can.
The Energy Web® and soft, comfortable neoprene wrap of the BFST® Knee device are specially designed to conform to the shape of your knee.
This ensures an even distribution of energy over the entire injured area.
There are long, wide Velcro® straps attached to the wrap that allow you to adjust it and achieve the perfect fit.
You don't need to remove the wrap after treatment.
Unplug the device and tighten the straps to use it as a light support brace for your knee.
It also acts as a reminder of your injury so you don't accidentally overdo it and re-injure yourself.
The Medical Tape Advantage
What sets KB Support Tape apart from the rest?
It's not athletic tape, it's medical tape.
This means our Tape is manufactured to ISO 10993 standards, which ensures that our Tape is made from extremely safe, biocompatible materials.
Our Tape is actually made from materials that are safer than most baby products, including diapers, toys and clothing.
Don't let the big brand tapes fool you.
Most of them are made from toxic materials, because there are no standards for athletic tape.
Some big brand tape glues even contain carcinogenic ingredients.
At King Brand®, your health and safety are of utmost importance, which is why KB Support Tape is manufactured to such high standards.
Medical Function - ColdCure® Wrap - Extreme Pain Relief
ColdCure® Wraps are FDA Registered Class I medical devices.
They exceed all government and health agency regulatory requirements for cold therapy specifically for use in treating soft tissue injuries.
When applied, these medical grade cold compression wraps will immediately reduce the risk of further damage from excessive swelling.
Doctors and Therapists agree that controlling swelling is a fundamental part of reducing long term, permanent damage resulting from soft tissue injuries.
Most people think that RICE - Rest, Ice, Compression & Elevation - is the formula to follow when treating a soft tissue injury.
Most of these people aren't aware of the very serious dangers that ice pose.
Ice (and other freezer-based substitutes such as the blue ice pack) can actually freeze your skin and numb your nerves, causing "cold burns" and even permanent damage to your underlying tissue.
The proper solution is RCCE® - Rest, Cold, Compression & Elevation.
We don't want to apply ice, we want to apply cold that is just above freezing.
Yes, you want cold - and lots of it - but not so cold that it is below the freezing point of water.
While we recommend that you store the XC RigiGel® packs in the freezer.
When you take them out of the freezer they will quickly adjust to the right temperature, right around 30 degrees.
If they are too cold, they will be a little too stiff to put in the wrap.
That's part of the design.
When they are at the right temperature, they are still frozen but flexible too.
Even when frozen they retain their ability to mold to the shape of your body.
It's ice that bends like rubber and isn't too cold.
The ColdCure® Leg Wrap comes with 3 large gel packs that contain 3x more gel per lb than ordinary packs.
This means more coverage of your Baker's Cyst.
Despite their size, our gel packs are never bulky.
When stored in the freezer, XC Gel® packs have 10x more cooling power per lb than ordinary gel packs.
This means they stay cold longer, allowing for extended treatment durations.
It also means faster relief of pain and swelling.
ColdCure® gel packs are custom designed for the shape of the area you're treating.
Every body part is shaped differently, which is why all of our gel packs are shaped differently too.
Every one of our ColdCure® Wraps comes with gel packs that are specifically designed for the body part.
The ColdCure® Leg gel pack molds to the back of your knee comfortably to ensure that your painful Baker's Cyst receives an even distribution of cooling power.
This product is 100% ideal to treat Baker's Cysts.
Ordinary gel packs are notorious for having hot and cold spots.
Our XC RigiGel® packs distribute the cold energy evenly throughout the pack.
When cold pressure is applied to a Baker's Cyst, the gel starts to warm up in that specific spot faster than the rest of the pack.
The cold energy in our gel packs is transferred from the cold spots to the warm spots much more effectively.
This is a valuable improvement as your hot, swollen Baker's Cyst will receive the cooling power of the entire gel pack, every time.
The temperature-balancing power of these gel packs is unmatched.
XC Gel® packs have 2 different colored sides: a white side and a gold side. Both sides will give you all the same benefits that our high performance XC RigiGel® has to offer.
XC Gel® packs can be inserted inside the wrap with the white side facing towards the back of your knee or away from the back of your knee since they're not side specific.
